Great Walk Foundation
Every year the Great Walk Foundation takes a 160km on-foot journey between Bathurst and Blaxland to raise money for charities in the Penrith, Blue Mountains and Hawkesbury regions. Since its inception in 2007 the Foundation has raised more than $1,000,000. Every May I join them on the journey for a few days. You can make a donation for this great cause by contacting our office. Donations over $2 are tax deductible. Your contribution will go a long way towards making a tangible difference to the lives of others.

On Thursday, 24th May, 2012 I joined them on the full day trek from Lithgow to Mount Victoria. It was over 25km uphill and raining most of the way. ATO Warns Us About Scams
We have been informed by a number of clients that the ATO has contacted them directly requesting personal details. Unfortunately these calls or emails are normally scams as the ATO will contact us directly. Tax Commissioner Michael D'Ascenzo has reminded the community to be aware and alert to scams claiming to be from the ATO.
There has been an increase in the number, creativity and sophistication of scams being reported. If you receive any form of contact from the ATO including telephone calls and emails, please contact our office directly and we can advise you of the action required to be taken.
ATO Tax Help for Small Businesses
The Australian Taxation Office is running a small business assistance program which delivers practical assistance to small businesses. They have an experienced advisor who will be available to answer questions and provide advice on various business tax related topics. This program is being held in Penrith from 11th to 15th June, 2012. The appointments are free, confidential and are one-on-one. Read More...
